Job description

The Account Manager oversees the long-range planning for each client to assure client and agency success.  The Account Manager manages and maintains the day-to-day operation of assigned accounts working under and closely with our Director of Client Services. Of course, also collaborating with all other departments: Media, Creative, Web and Production, to assure that client initiatives are fulfilled in a strategic, timely and proactive manner.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of each assigned account and provide the long-term planning and vision necessary to proactively direct the marketing and advertising effort for each client. Knowledge and adherence to Account Management techniques and processes.

  • Build strong client and team relations that will professionally and proactively meet client and agency goals.

  • Leadership of client start up procedures and process defining the team players that will be instrumental in assuring the success of the account, establishing the roles for each person assigned to the account, establishing the timelines for each milestone. 

  • Self-initiated attention to detail and long-range vision planning for each client.

  • Self-initiated communication to the Director of Client Services on the status of each account, providing updates in a written and verbal manner.

  • Ability to effectively establish clear goals and objectives for each client that will fulfill the marketing needs of each client and result in the accomplishment of measurable results.

  • Assist the new business development process by following up on leads, responding to RFP’s, participating in new business presentations and updating the Agency annual sales forecast.

  • Oversight of all project and creative briefs to direct the creative team.

  • Co-develop the annual paid advertising plan working closely with the Media Manager to research and provide recommendations to the client.

  • Monitor and track the success of the plan throughout the year, engaging the client and communicating the success of each program as part of regular client updates.

  • Manage each client’s marketing budget and monthly invoicing. Prepare a client activity and sales forecast for each assigned client.

  • Co-management of the brand strategy and subsequent creative strategy working closely with the Creative departments.


Desired Experience

First and foremost, we’re looking for a team member with a positive attitude and a taste for adventure. We’re also looking for a team member with a high level of professionalism and a demonstrated background with agency experience. Experience desired (not necessarily required):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field

  • 5 - 8 years of previous agency experience

  • A demonstrated knowledge of marketing strategy and process

  • A demonstrated knowledge of digital marketing- social, e-marketing, online partnerships and website processes

  • Serious organization, prioritization and production process skills

  • Understanding of digital production management software like: BaseCamp, Trello, and Slack

  • A desire to work closely with the team and work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment

  • A thorough and demonstrated ability to establish trust through client communication and coaching
